problem with sessions/cookies

I have a problem with session variables.

The session cookie is registered and the variable is created withing cookie but the variable fails to assign a value to it.

My code is fine becuase it works fine on a university php server and local pc's running apache and php as a module.

What could possibly be wrong?? I am running the latest version of php.

i know you say you have registered a session variable but have u assigned a value to it?

eg

session_register('variable');
$_SESSION['variable']=test;

Yeah - the code is exactly the same as mine. My code registers the session cookie/variable names and their values fine on my mates computer with the same php file.

The php versions and php.ini files are identicle on both computers.

I am stumped - I even re-downloaded the latest version of php and reconifgured it all but still had the same problem.

Completely stumped! Any help would be much apreciated.

is your browser accept cookie?
if u set your dev. browser not to accept
on server site or local site cookie.
u won't have value.
