PHP and Index Server - VERY URGENT

I dont' know PHP very well, so I really need your help.

I have to index some pdf documents using Index Server on Windows 2000 server.
But I have too to use PHP for retrieve documents, and,so, to send queries to Index Server.

So, please, tell me if I can do that, and how I can do that.
