mailbot with attachments?

Michael Galloway published a great article about automatically processing an email using php. Has anyone extended this model to process attachments?

My goal is to receive an email with attachments and have php process both the text in the body of the email as well as the attachments. Any suggestions?

Should be feasible enough; even with attachments emails are still just plain text. The fact that it contains attachements can be determined from the MIME type, and the boundaries between attachments are easily enough identified. The encoding is also given for each attachment; usually base64 for binary data, an encoding which PHP has inbuilt support for.
Prolonged staring at raw emails-with-attachments ought to be enough to learn enough to start processing the things.
