Update Email

[UKSwift]

I am currently working with Post Nuke and OpenRealty. I would like to know how easy it would be to get the package to send out an email when a new property is added...

Sure i could do this manually, but i would like it to pull the info from the database and email it automatically to the emails kept on file.. Like a newsletter i would of thourght.

Any information on this would be great.

simply create an email function that does whatever you need it to and place the call to the function in the section where the new property is added

so

$result=mysql_query($insert_new_prop) or die ("Can't insert because ".mysql_error());

if (!$result){
   echo "failed insert for some reason";
}else{
   //insert sucessful
   send_email();   //could even use mysql_insert_id($result);
                            //to pass the result values to the function
                           //or more simply use the already present variable
                           //from the previous insert sql to fill the required
                           //data in the email

   //more code - rest of page
}
