Editing problem

Hello again,

I really suck at this. I have an editing question or problem. When I input a record using my web interface it goes into the database fine, and displays in the interface automatically. But if I use my edit function(which is a link that uses a javascript to pop-up an editing window) the record is left the same but another record is entered with the new information included. So i have two records, one with unedited info and one with edited info.

Any ideas,

if a new record is created, then you're doing an INSERT rather than and UPDATE.

I'm using update. Could it be that when I update i get the Internet Explorer error, saying page could not be refreshed without resending the information. I guess it's still keeping the info on the url from when i submitted it. Cause the problem only occurs when I edit a new record not an old one. If i close out the browser and open it again i can edit the record as per normal, but if i don't it adds a second record.

Any ideas,
