php on windows 2003

Hello,

I have recently installed php on windows 2003 and am going to be running my own webserver.

Can anyone tell me what firewall software would be best. I am going to be running iis 6, php, asp, mysql, and windows mail server.

does php work as it should in 2003??
i got problems with 2003 + php, usually i get 30s timed out when ex. looping:
for($a=0;$a<100000;$a++) {
echo "asd";
}

any idea how to solve this??

Yes; increase PHP's timeout setting. See the manual, under "configuration".

that's not solution...
when looping, text is printed like
dadada ... (small break) ... dadada ... (small break again) ...

i think problem is between php<=>iis6 , because w2k+iis5+php works ok

I think my php works fine.

I used this:

for($a=0;$a<100000;$a++) {
echo $a."<BR>";
}

No problems.

Make sure you are using the sapi dll instead of the php.exe

Also, can anyone answer my original question? Maybe I'll try to find a forum here that is more acceptable 🙂
