Im tying to do a chat application with voice. (like telephone Conversation). Still i have no clue about how im going to do it.!!😕

thats why i write to u guys.😃 If anybody know any idea about how to do this.??? Is it possible from php to write a programe like that. Where should i start??

I really need your ideas and comments guys!!

What sort of Voice Chat, is it gonna use AI, or real voices from people chatting.

Text-to-speech? or is it like the one ICQ, Yahoo!IM and others have? where you can just simply talk similar to when you are talking on the phone.

yes. its a live chat. I mean its something similar to when you are talking on the phone, where in this case two people can talk to each other using a microphone.

Well, there won't be any PHP involved in this.

Not sure why you want to reinvent the wheel (there are dozens of programs are for this) but this kind of program would have to be written in a real programming language. I guess you could string something together in Visual Basic or Visual C.

You're going to need to interface with the sound card and send raw packets and utilise data compression and/or audio codecs.
