I'm just wondering, how do you people feel about the user ID number system over the URL friendly username id system?
Well, to elaborate, if there was a user that wanted to use the name "John Doe", under the ID system he would be assigned the number 1. Under the username system he'd be assigned the id "john_doe".
I'm not sure about the ups and downs of using either one of these. Either way, the id's are going to be inserted for each news article/comment/art submission that they author.
