do u think it is possible to make something like the 1 in java like the u dont need to refresh the whole website just to be updated on your database

i have a site where in a have a multiple tables in HTML where in i just want to refresh certain place so that i dont need to refresh the whole site. do u think this can be do done?

coz in java applet it can be what about in php?

the sample is in nba.com it will refresh the scores automatically but that is a java applet 🙂

I don't believe that PHP can do what you want because PHP is server side scripting and only HTML is sent to the browser. I think it would be possible in Flash though.

By "site" I presume you mean "page".

Damien_Buttler is right; PHP is a server-side language and you'll need something running on the client to achieve what you're after. Flash and Java are examples; Javascript could be used as well - but PHP is nowhere near the client and can't do anything there.
