Anybody use PostgreSQL's geometric types for anything? For what? Just curious. I haven't really brainstormed ways I might use them (yet).
I'm sure apps like PostGIS use the geometric data types 😉.
I really don't know - people keep committing improvements and stuff to them, so someone must be using them. GIS is the main application, but polygon databases also can.
I notice that MySQL has added geometric types in its latest alpha...
