MySql commands...

I have installed a testing server on my computer and have gotten PHP to work on it. The problem is that all of the MySql commands(mysql_connect, etc...) don't work. I installed MySql and can access it through the mysql command in the dos prompt, so I know it is working. Is there something I have to do to enable the MySql commands in PHP?

Just so you know, I'm running a P4 1.6Ghz. with Windows XP...

I've never installed PHP on a windows machine so this information may be completely wrong. But when installing PHP from source on a Linux box you need to pass in the --with-mysql=/path/to/mysql/ to the configure command.

I'd read the docs on installing on the Windows platform I'm sure there is plenty of information there to help you out.

Well, I tried looking and couldn't find anything that would work... I was trying to install PHP 5 beta, so I tried PHP 4 just to see if it would work, and it did, so I'm assuming it was something with PHP 5. Anyway, I did get it working, so thanks for your help. 😉
