MSSQL and LIMITS

I have been building little apps between php and mysql, as well as mssql successfully for the past few months. I have run into a wall however with the following issue:

I am trying to create a query that will give me -
Distinct rows
Ordered by Most to Least quantities
Limited by 5

With mysql this is a little easier due to the limit function...

ROWCOUNT will give me limited rows, but I am not able to order by the top 5
TOP will give me the limited rows, but I lose distinct in the process.

Should I be looking to make the queries a little more complicated?

I have been reading around on phpbuilder as well as other sites, but not finding a good solution to this problem.

Has anyone had success with this?

1)A change of SELECT to SELECT DISTINCT will give you distinct rows.
2)ORDER BY field_to_order_by DESC/ASC will give you the sorting of your result(descending/ascending by the values in the field_to_order_by).
3)LIMIT X will return X rows in the result, assuming that there are X rows(or more) that match your condition.

Post your sql-statement to let us see where you stand, and search for SELECT DISTINCT, ORDER BY & LIMIT on
mysql.com to learn this by yourself.

The problem is that there is no "limit" facility in MSSQL. Unfortunately, I am working with an MSSQL DB, not MySQL...
