Uploading Images

Hi
I am new to php.
When i upload an image to my database i get this error

Warning: open_basedir restriction in effect. File is in wrong directory in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/beyond2000.ie/httpdocs/test/functions/edit_about.php on line 9

Warning: fopen("/tmp/phpfY4cW3", "r") - Operation not permitted in /usr/local/psa/home/vhosts/beyond2000.ie/httpdocs/test/functions/edit_about.php on line 9

Is it to do with a configuration setting in my php.ini???

Hi,
sound like a permission problem. Try to give chmod "777" to target directory. And look if is enabled the safe_mode (in php.ini or phpinfo()...).

Thanks for getting back to me. Safe mode is set to "on" in my php.ini.
The target folder has full permissions.
On the server i am hosting several websites with the same IP address pointing to the websites folders in my vhost/ directory. There is no problem uploading images for some of my websites, but on others i got that error.
I dont know if this extra info is any help to you.

I think this an effect of safe_mode on.
If you don't care put it off, then try again.
