arabic font display problem in PHP

hi all,

when displaying arabic font which is entered through PHP screens it is not showing

arabic font.... which is working perfectly in windows 2000.. now i am doing

everything in LINux server. i made the meta tag like
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252" />
but i am not getting arabaic font.....(also tried changing font to simplified

arabic etc..)any one can help me....

maybe the font is missing in your font directory on the pc you are browsing ?

you may need to check docs in google on using arabic fonts on websites

also, did you set the webpage direction from right to left (<div dir=rtl> instead of the default <div dir=ltr>)

hi,

i changed by editing default charset to Windows-1256 in php.ini...still arabic

message apeared as strange look and i need to go to View menue and then select (

Arabic windows) encoding type ...then it will display arabic..pls help me to solve

this problem....i want the message to come arabic when i load the page itself...
