PHP Cookies and Tracking

Hello all

We had a poll on our website, and it asked what age group does the user belong to, i.e. 21-28yrs old ect...

But this is only a voting system, his selection is not recorded in the cookie, but there is a cookie saying he did vote so that pop-up doesn't return for him to vote again.

Now my question is, how can I track where the user goes belonging to which age group.

How can I track where users of Age group A goes, and where the majority of Age group B goes?

I would apreciate any help on this.

you could have something like

put that on your pages that you want to get infomation for

it'll automatically insert a record with the users age group and the current page

Thanks for the code, but the only thing is this is assumes the user has the selected age group in his cookie when he does not.
How would I put that in the cookie?

well like you said, the age group in the cookie eg $_COOKIE["age"] would be supplied by the user from a pop up selection (stored so the user doesnt have to select it again)

however the user can simply bypass this by clicking the little 'x'

so you will need either some if statements or a switch
