Writing to log files

Hi

I'm trying to generate brand new log files each time an even takes place. should I use the "a" or "a+" when open for writting?

a is append, writing to an existing file.

they are both identical, except 'a+' opens for reading/writing and 'a' just for writing.
if the file does not exisit it will attempt to create it...
