Howdy all - I know I'm going to kick myself for not finding this myself, cause it's gotta be something simple. I've searched and searched, and tried about 100 different queries, but this just isn't clicking.
I'm using "b2" software to run several blogs on my site. I want to put together a blog section homepage that will display the lastest blogs that have been updated. Each user has several tables for their posts like this:
flashb2categories
flashb2comments
flashb2posts
flashb2settings
flashb2users
slackerb2categories
slackerb2posts
slackerb2settings
slackerb2users
I'm only interested in the b2posts tables, which each have a post_date field. The tables are identical in format, but obviously they contain different data. Is there a way to retrieve the last few entries that have been posted in any of the b2posts tables?
(more info just in case that's not clear)
For example, in one table might be:
04/01/03 - Howdy 1 - Flash
06/01/03 - Howdy 2 - Flash
08/01/03 - Howdy 3 - Flash
And the other might have:
03/01/03 - Entry 1 - Slacker
05/01/03 - Entry 2 - Slacker
07/01/03 - Entry 3 - Slacker
On my site, I'd want to be able to list:
Latest entry: Howdy 3, by Flash - posted 08/01/03
Other recent entries:
07/01/03 - Entry 3 - Slacker
06/01/03 - Howdy 2 - Flash
05/01/03 - Entry 2 - Slacker
04/01/03 - Howdy 1 - Flash
03/01/03 - Entry 1 - Slacker
I hope it all makes sense. Thanks a ton in advance for any help. Word!
