progressive jpegs

Hi, I am using PHP with Flash for a couple of sites I am working on. The problem I have is that Flash can only load non-progressive Jpegs dynamically. Is there a method of checking if a jpeg is progressive or not? If there is, is there a way of converting it - or will it be a nightmare.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not to sure about this but have you looked into loading the jpg's via XML with Flash?

I thought I could use XML to load in the location of the images, I didnt realise I could use XML for the data itself. Still not sure if it would work. Anyone else know anything about this?
