Hello,

I have used this form couples of times before and found it very usefull. I am making a newsletter script. here is the run down of how it works. Users sign up for the newsletter either text or html. In the admin panel, the admin makes the newsletter. The admin can attach a html template to the newsletter so that the newsletter he makes will be inside the html document. I am using mysql database for storing the newsletters. I do not know how to send an html template to the users with all the variables from the database? or even a simple text email. I was thinking that everytime the admin attachs the template i would copy that file and rename it and insert all teh variables in there. Then use fread() to get all the content and send in that in the mail() function. But i also do not know how to copyu or create new files with variables from the database as i am very new to this. I try challenging myself so i can learn more but i am stumped here.

Hey, I hope you don't think I'm "talking down" to you, but have you looked at the FAQ over in the "newbies" part of the forum?

The reason I mention this, planetsim wrote several examples in that document, and you might be able to pick up some more knowledge and then come back with a more specific question. I'm sure some of us can (as in, are able to...) help you, but you've got quite a few issues in your plan that you need to get started on first ... 😉
