I have searched everywhere for my answer but it's just not happening anywhere!

All I want is a simple php script that will retrieve and display all the news items within a database.

I have tried many examples and always end up with an error somewhere along the line - many scripts have been tried many times.

Can someone write me a basic script to perform my required function that I can use.

Why not write your own? This has got to be one of the easiest pieces of coding to do in PHP, and there are hundreds of tutorials out there to show you how to do it.

Having other people do the work for you will never help you learn.

I've really tried. Believe me!

Every tutorial I've tried hasn't worked and I really don't know what I am doing wrong. I've posted questions about my scripts with example code but no one has really helped me!

Post your sample code here and I'll look at it and give you advice. If you are posting a large section of code this may be why no one is responding. No one likes to wade through pages of someone elses code to try and debug it.

Show me your code that retrieves the data from the database and give me a description of what is and isn't happening and I'll show you what is wrong.
