Greetings, all!
Just thought I'd check on a bit of protocol before I go posting my first question and miff everyone in the forum. 😃
I've been receiving tutoring in PHP since January of this year.
With the help of my tutoring buddy, I've implemented a number of time-saving PHP-based systems for my company's websites.
Folks in a department more in touch with the company events can now punch in their own website listings.
Each event's title, start date, end date, <a name> anchor, priority, and details are stored in the table, and displayed once their active date is reached, then deleted when they expire.
One such event is grabbed randomly, and its title displayed on the main page of the site, to hook people in. Using the <a name> anchor, the link jumps right to the specific listing in the events area.
I've also done many other li'l PHP thingies within the sites, all with varying degrees of complexity.
Suffice it to say, while I don't much feel like a newbie with half a year's worth of PHP (behind eight or so years of HTML coding), I know I'm still a PHP amoeba compared to most on this board. 😃
So, having a general idea of what I know, should I post my first question (it's about table dumps accompanying cron-timed event deletions) in the General Help forum, or the Newbies forum?
Thanks in advance, eh?
