how can i get number of days between 2 dates ?

I have date in the past ( 1059740265 ) , and i want to know number of days between that date and today ..

please advice 🆒

Here is what I came up with:

$past = 1059740265 ;  // your  timestamp
$now = time();   // current timestamp
$div = 60 * 60 * 24; //number of seconds in a day
$days = ($now - $past)/$div; 
echo"Number of days between dates ($now - $past) = $days";

I'm not a gay but then I'm thinking of the leap years, what do you wana do with it? Don't we have a kind of function in php to get number of days past from the base date (should be something around 1970), then we could easily find the difference. This one is not that exact

I'm not sure what you mean by not exact. The code above deals with seconds so by dividing by 60 60 24 ( 60 seconds in a minute 60 minutes in an hour 24 hours in a day) or 86400 (which is how many seconds are in one day, be it a leap year day or any other)

By getting the difference in seconds between days and dividing by the # of seconds in a day it gives you how many days between the two. Which would not make any difference whether it was a leap year or not.
