emailing hyperlink

how do i email an actual hyperlink??? This forum is converting the link to a hyperlink but when I email this to an address it comes up as text.

You have to define the link as a hyperlink using <a></a>, as you would in html.

i had tried that, but i get an error message stating unexpected "<" on that line. Can i see some sample code on how i should write it?

why don't you show US the code you are using, and we can point out any mistakes we might see?

Sorry for not presenting the code earlier...I am getting a parse error, unexpected T_String when i do this. if i dont put the <a></a> i do not get the error. i have also tried but the url's show up in the email message and no hyperlink is established.

$site="<a href="http://www.mydomain.com/newsletter.php"></a>";

$message="The Devia has been updated.\n\nYou can see the latest updates by going to: " . $site . "\n\nSincerely,\n\nRene Devia";

your problem is that you used double-quote in wrong place.

just change the variable like this:

$site="<a href='http://www.mydomain.com/newsletter.php'>link</a>";

or:

$site="<a href=\"http://www.mydomain.com/newsletter.php\">link</a>";

you should take a look at the "Strings" in php.
