I have this idea of a site i'd like to run. Could be used for other artists then Springsteen off course also!
Anyway, this is the idea:
a php database homepage which collects all information about concerts and bootlegs.
So you browse either concerts or bootlegs. Lets say you look at a concert from 2003-07-06. you get the setlist, and on the right there is:
picturelinks and bootleglinks. if you click a title, you get the lyrics and more information about that track. in the bottom of the page extra info is added such as guest artists, or other notes of the concert that was unusual.
Since the whole thing shall be based in PHP, visistors are to add all information by them selves, or change. both commands executed only after admin or moderator permission has been given. fields to be filled in for each concert added are:
date
start time
end time
place (country, state, city, arena)
set list (you choose a title from a list, if the title you search for is not available, there is a "add a track" button for you! this is to make it easier to link each title to a lyric etc... )
encore 1 (button to add more encores is possible)
extra information (button to add more extra info fields is possible, one field for each info)
pictures (upload pictures by browsing harddrive or link to them on the internet)
now when you browse a title, it's shown at the bottom on which concerts it's been played and on which bootleg's it's available.
adding a bootleg, you just pick a concert from a list, then setlist shows up and you pick which tracks are on the bootleg and in which order. it's also possible to add 'extra tracks' and then choose each track one by one from other concerts or from studio albums (these are in the database too).
now problem is: i can fix domain name and webspace. but i can't programm this site. i dont know php very well. i can do the design in html but not the database programming in php.
is there any brucefan out there that can do PHP???
