how do i create a php advert thing

basicly, i want to place an advert in my main page and i want the visitors to click it then they can enter my welcome page.

but once the visitor click the advert, i dont want the advert page appear for 24 hours. insted, the visitor should go directly to the welcome page.

so, is there any way to do this?

please help me to do this....

The best way would be to use cookies. Set a cookie with a time limit of 606024 and check for its existence ... if the cookie exists, don't show the ad ... redirect or show something else instead ...

In the event users have their cookies disabled, you could work on a more complex solution, but I'd probably just have some page somewhere that told users what a good idea it was to have them enabled, and that they've really just gotten a bum rap ...
