problem with time format

I retrieve timestamp from some page. The timestamp I got look like this " :15:40" ( means 15:40 but the first colon comes because of some reason). How can I delete only first colon?
If I use ereg_replace(':' ,' ',":15:40") , both colon will be replaced by whitespace.
Can anyone help me to change it to " 15:40"?

If it is always the same, you can use substr().
