PHP tutor needed in Seattle, Mac platform???

I am trying to start up a web site that is highly interactive and don't know how to get started. I have a Mac and find that it's hard to even get PHP unless I upgrade to OSX, which I will if I have to. It's cheaper than buying a PC. But anyway, I am coming to this forum to get started on my own, but I need someone to show me in the seattle area. Does anyone have advice? Tell your friends in seattle to answer this post ASAP! thanks

What exactly are you looking for? Someone to help you get set up on the MAC? Someone to help you learn PHP? Also, are you talking about free, or $$?

I've been working on OS X, PHP, MYSQL, APACHE for 2 years now. What's the problem?

Well, I just haven't made the jump to osx yet and it's absolutely necessary. I just don't like the classic 9. I tried it on my sisters ibook. I wonder if I could use her I book disc to upgrade my imac to os x (?) 😉

Thanks for the link to the local group - I'll go check it out. And yes I would be attempting to pay someone at a pre-agreed rate. I'm just trying to set up a very high volume site with very good tech support that is highly interactive - as much as friendster. Thanks.

Well, I don't know a lick about Macs. I have done all of my developing for FreeBSD, and have done most of my testing on win xp pro.

However, I might be available for tutoring if I had more details. I'm not in Seattle, but Federal Way. Good luck with your site.
