Creating tally like shopping systems.

Hello people.

I am interested in setting up a tally type shopping system like dell or compaq uses to tally parts for a computer, so users can customize them to what they want. I was told this was a great place to ask for help, or if someone knows of an already built script that i can edit to my needs.

I use dreamweaver mx, and see that i can get the layout like that, but the coding part i really dont even know where to start, if someone could point me in the direction of a tutorial of some sort, or some other resources on this subject, it would be greatly appreciated.

You might use the search button (upper right of the page) to search this forum for such words as "shopping cart" ... might be some help here.

You can ignore the thread in the Echo Lounge called "What is the function to make a shopping cart?" if you wish. OTOH, if you're savvy, you might gain a tad of the insider's point of view on this particular question ... 😉

And, are you really saying you know nothing at all about PHP? :eek: 🙂

Some good resources: the manual, www.zend.com (look for tutorials ....) and of course this site ... look for the tutorials on the main page ....
