At my place of work we make use of a software package written in ASP/Javascript, designed to allow your average noob to maintain their own site (content etc) without prior knowledge in web development (It's useful here for irrelevant reasons to the point of this question). So all pages are created dynamically and linked to etc...
My question is, with the inclusion of META data such as description and keywords throughout the site in whatever way it is implemented, given today's breed of search engine, does this help searchability at all?
I understand that long URL's (often seen with dynamic sites such as this) will be a problem for Search engines and will most likely not get listed. Is this correct? If so, what part does the META data play, IF ANY?
