[Resolved] php.ini HELP!

Hi, I'm wanting to edit my php.ini file on a windows2000 server. And I have a few questions.

Does the server require a restart after the editing of php.ini? Do I have to shut down PHP or can I simply keep it running while editing the php.ini file?

And last fo all, if I attempt to edit my php.ini file from notepad will I have to wory about DOS-style line feeds interfering with the way PHP interpretes the php.ini configuration settings???

Yes you have to either restart PHP which is retsrating your computer after you edit anything in php.ini and save it

Nothing has ever gone wrong for me and using notepad is actually better then using anything else. If the version of PHP you have is for Windows, you wont experience any kind of problems..
