Php -> Icq -> Sms

Just wondering if anyone has any idea how to use PHP to send SMS messages? I have looked around and thought that maybe it's possible to communicate via sockets with ICQ and send SMS messages through it's existing SMS service...

I am a bit of a PHP newbie so forgive me if this is a stupid request 😃

I can't think of the exact name but there is a library written specifically for dealing with ICQ (or maybe its IRC...). You can try searching for it, again I don't remember if its for IRC or ICQ. Sorry for the vague help.
