That's a wide open question that depends heavily on the encoding and location of the "outside information" and the nature of the script and server you are coding.
It could be as simple as using PHP's [man]include/man. It could require use of the CURL library, a remote [man]fopen/man, or even socket programming.
I might have an opinion if I new more about the issue ... then again, I've got stuff to do otherwise, too ... 😉
