[Resolved] using # in querystring

I am trying to call a file from an anchor tag like
<a href='page1.php?No=237#A'>Test</a>
But in page1.php I get the value as 237 only.
where did I go wrong?

in an HTML address is a reference to a location on a page....

similiar to how FAQ pages work with their question list, click and it takes you to the middle of the page where the question is w/o reloading it, or a TO THE TOP link....

You'll need to convert that # sign to something else if you want to pass it through the URL.

should be the correct form.
also, there's [man]rawurlencode/man or [man]urlencode/man

<a href='page1.php?No=<? echo urlencode($No)?>>xyz</a>.
