.htaccess Tutorials?

Hi, could somebody point me in the direction of a tutorial covering the basics of .HTACCESS? My primary purpose for learning the basics is so that I can use Apache's Content Negotiation Features on a paid server.

Any links or input will be most appreciated! 😃

The Apache docs:

Some directives work in htaccess files, and some don't. You really need to read the manual pages for the directives you're considering in addition to the general instructions about htaccess.
