Tables using PHP & HTML

Hi,

I want to create a good looking table with info that is read from a .txt file.
I'm not good at html so i thought i can do it using only PHP.
Then i saw this page:

I downloaded tables.php and common.php and put them at HTML directory.
then i tried to run one of thier examples and i got this error:
Fatal error: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/debug-non-zts-20000401/PEAR.so' - A file or directory in the path name does not exist. in PEAR.php on line 11

Then i saw this
http://cvs.php.net/cvs.php/pear/PEAR?login=2
and i relized i need to install something 🙁
I'm using a free host at portland, can anyone explain me how to install this thing or u can just help me create a simple colored table example and i'll see it's code.

how does the txt file look? and what kinda table output are you looking for?

I can make the txt look any way i want. currently it's look like this:
total.lines=3
item1 item2 item3 item4 item5 item6
item1 item2 item3 item4 item5 item6
item1 item2 item3 item4 item5 item6

i want each line diffrent color and the rest i'll handle myself.
that txt file is changing every 10 min so the numbers of lines can change.
