Ive seen PHP-NUKE's pull down menu that changes the pictures auto just be scrolling over another. Is there some example code on how this is done its really interesting.
Or is there a way to display every picture in a directory with some easy code?
Javascript is probably your best bet. Random Image Rotator may well be the type of thing you want. You may want to read this article. Here is another example that might help. This one looks interesting. Althought might be irrelevant.
Thats all good and well one thing is that doesnt help with file names that are in a database or look up the directory. I dont think thats how phpnuke does it. Another example would be PHPBBs gallery. Although that displayes it dynamicly it doesnt display it with a pop down menu.
