apache access logs

first i'd like to say hello to all you guys. this is my first post here although i've been actively using the boards here for a couple years now. to the good stuff 🙂 -->

the q: does anyone know if it's possible to make selective logs in the apache access log?

I'm using ALA (advanced log analyer) to generate reports about my website. However, I do not want to include logs from my ip (LAN) in the reports (accurate reports should not include my visits). The simplest way I thought to do this would be to disable logging in the access.log file if the source IP begins w/ 192.blah.blah.blah

I'm running apache 1.3.x on win2000 server.

i stumbled on something talking about rewrite.mod

i enabled it in the server but it looks as though i'd have to do a rewrite for each thing logged. i.e.

LogFormat "%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %>s %b \"%{Referer}i\" \"%{User-Agent}i\"" combined

and the rewrite rule should replace each entry w/ " "

any suggestions?
