I got a form for editing and I'm putting in all the current information that is stored into the editable fields. But in this example, it puts 2 tabs in front of the title and description. I can not figure out why and how those 2 tabs got inserted in there. Is there a function that'll just strip out any tabs or spaces in front of them first? Here's the code...

It looks like its adding 2 tabs in front of the title and description every time I edit it. :-\

$strippedText = eregi("^([ |\t])+",$originalText);

this will strip out any leading tabs or spaces in the string.

That didn't seem to work. It got rid of everything BUT the tabs.

try str_replace, its faster for smaller strings anway.

perhaps something like

$string = str_replace("\t", "", $string);

I realized it was a from my HTML though. I had the "echo" part on the next line and tabbed in twice to look good...well it read the 2 tabs there :-\
