Ldap Referrals!!

Does anyone have any idea how view a referral from LDAP?

We are running PHP 4.3 on W2K with IIS.

I know that I can do a search of ldap and it will follow referrals, but I am trying to bind as a user, that user returns a referral that I need to follow so I can try to bind to that server.

I need to either A: follow referrals on a bind or B: be able to return what the referrals are from a search so that I can then follow them.

I am stuggling here, any help is appreciated.
