import / export bookmarks

hello everybody.. i need to find out how to export your bookmarks
via a php script... without clicking in file / export !!!

you could allow a user to download a simple .BAT file that the user places in a favourites directory which then executes and writes the favourites to a text file , then this file can be uploaded to the server for further processing

you could "try" and do it the way paulsbooker said, but i doubt it, you are gonna need to write some sort of VB app or activex app that can mess with IE's system files, not likely gonna happen with PHP, ASP, Perl, just about any web language, but could possible happen with activex, which is proprietary to IE

VBScript sould be able to do this for IE but won't work for NS, Opera or any other browser.
