Conecting to the Database...

🙁 Hi All!

Being new to PHP programing I woundered if someone could please help me?

I would like to have a script to connect to my database, then collect a letter e.g. - A, within a table/colum.

Then to pass this into a URL.

If there's a similar script floating around the forum, please could someone point me into the right direction.

Oi, It depends on what exactly it is that you are doing.. Sure you could just have 1 table, 1 row/col, have a serialized array in there, and then unserialize it afterwards, and grab a random letter out of the array, but WHAT are you doing, because there are so many ways to do it, but depending on what you are actually trying to accomplish, depends on how to code it..

I have a table called order_products_attributes. With in that table I have a field called products_options_value. Within products_options_value line there are four colums (field, type, function, null, value). It's the value that I would like to get.

The value will either be 'M' or 'Y' (Month or Year).

An argument would be required for 'M' (set as default) and 'Y'.

The result will then be required to be inserted into a link.
