$$ Syntax Gone?

Has this syntax ($$) been removed from PHP now?

I've upgraded to 4.3.2 and wherever I've used this syntax it doesn't seem to work anymore.

Is there a config directive for it?

Instead I'm having to use $_REQUEST[$var_name]

in short, you upgraded, and register_globals = Off by default, if you have numerous scripts, you can simply edit your php.ini entry from

register_globals = Off

to

register_globals = On

i would rather see you change your code, the PHP developers felt it better to have it off for security reasons, if you want more info on that subject go to www.php.net and search for register globals, there is explanation there
