I'm not even sure if this is possible, but it seems that there should be a logical way to do this.
I have a fairly complex page (store front) installed at mydomain.com/shop which ideally should be the front page to my site.
At the moment, mydomain.com/index.php contains nothing but a header redirect to point people straight into the store front. On most fronts this works fine, but it does effect the page rank of the first content page (as it is in a subdirectory).
Ideally, I would like to change /index.php to include /shop/index.php . The problem is that /shop/index.php has a lot of includes itself that will fail if I do this.
My questions
Is there anyway to change the basepath used for referencing includes without rewriting the path for every include in the site? Ideally I would like to be able to include /shop/index.php and have all files in that referenced from /shop/ rather than from webroot.
Am I making any sense?
