how to create calendar

Hi
I'm trying to create calendar on my webpage. The calendar is for the user who want to retrieve information which is belong to the date that user click from database. However, I didn't store information everyday. How can I make the date on calendar clickable only the day I have the record? for example, if I have the record only on 2,3,4,7,8th August, the date 1,5,6,9th until today is unclickable.

fetch all the data from the Dbase, and put it into an array... like...

if you have the columns as DAY and INFO you would query
SELECT * FROM calendar
then
store em in an array, theck when you build the calendar output, check the array for each day.... so if info was there, then make it linked if not, make it static text no href...

actually... before I start writing a better example... how does your database look? ie, columns and types of each column and an example of them?

here is my database is something like

id fare discount date time
1 50 5 2003-07-03 15:50:00
2 125.82 7 2003-07-03 15:50:00
1 48 4.7 2003-07-04 14:12:00
2 123.20 7.2 2003-07-04 14:12:00

id is int
fare is float
discount is double
date is date 0000-00-00
time is time 00:00:00

now when you loop through whatever builds the calendar view...
just check $info[$daynumber] if it exists, make the link into a href

note: the value returned by $info[x] is the ID of the info to link to
