Deleting an element of an Array?!

Hi,
How can I delete an Element of an array?
Consider the following Example:

$arr[] = "val1"; 
$arr[] = "val2";
$arr[] = "val3";
$arr[] = "val4";
//How can I delete the Element of index = 1, i.e which handle the value = val2

Is This Possible?

Note: unset() is a language construct.

unset() destroys the specified variables. Note that in PHP 3, unset() will always return TRUE (actually, the integer value 1). In PHP 4, however, unset() is no longer a true function: it is now a statement. As such no value is returned, and attempting to take the value of unset() results in a parse error.

// destroy a single variable
unset ($foo);

// destroy a single element of an array
unset ($bar['quux']);

// destroy more than one variable
unset ($foo1, $foo2, $foo3);

I'd like to ask about the word "void" which I see it as return type before some function syntax in the manual. What does it mean exactly?
As you told before unset() is not a function and does not return values. Is this a relation to void?

If you want to use the word "construct" in English language, could you able to tell me its relation to the programming language? i.e What's the Usage and the logical meanning of the word "construct" in the programming language. I may know it be drived from "Construction" i.e the action of building or making things. It is more related to civil engineering. 😕

void means it doesn't return a value, so don't try to see if it does.

And don't give me the credit, thats a copy / paste directly from the PHP manual. Go read the manual next time :-)

unset() isn't an actual function, it's a construct. I have no idea what the actual programming definition of a construct is, but I'm sure that it doesn't really matter either :-)
