Regular expressions

Hello! I have a problem with regular expressions. Im building a wap site where I need to extract pieces of a webpage to minize what is shown on the wap site since it can´t display a huge website.

So, my problem is that I know the site has only one line that is bigger than 500 characters. And I want to extract that one line. This is how I tried but failed.

/(.{400,})\n/

As I said this didnt work, anyone who has a better idea?

A much more efficient way to look for string lengths is to use the built in strlen() function. These types of functions are MUCH faster than regex's, not to mention easier to use and understand. You might also be interested in the rest of the str family of functions (strstr(), substr(), strpos() ... )
