Very Simple Search PHP MYSQL - [Please Help]

Hi all,

All I'd like to do is to allow users to simply search a table of products (in MYSQL D😎 and then show the results in the next page. (ProductListing.php)

The pages I have so far are:

SearchPage.php - form and text field pointing to>>ProductListing.php

My question: What SQL query do I put in? What page do I put it on? I'm guessing the Search.php?

Any help would be great...thanks!!

SELECT *
FROM products
WHERE id LIKE %$searchString%;

Where * is everything - replace with only the columns you will need, unless you need them all - and $searchString is the input from the user - be sure to validate first.

This will need to go into the script to which the search is submitted.

you may need to place commas around

this.... %searchString%

as to where to put the sql query put it on the page where the results will be shown

ask your self what is the simplest !
