sessions and page expired

Hi,

I have been confronted with this situation many times now and wonder if there is something you can do about this.

Say you have a dynamic page. On this page you can select some options in a form and the page reloads with the new settings. Now the visitor clicks on a link. On the next page the visitor hits the back button. Most of the time this results in a standard "Warning: page has expired message".

And it seems this is only the case when using sessions in PHP.

When I remove all the code related to sessions I don't have this problem.

Is there anything I can do about this (and still use sessions) as this page with "Warning: page has expired message" is very annoying for visitors?

Check out serialize()/unserialize() at php.net ... that might have what you're looking for.

set_cache_limiter = ;

that worked for me !

I tried serialize() and unserialize(). It didn't seem to help?

I looked at set_cache_limiter (or is it sessions.cache_limiter). Unfortunately I am running my pages on a remote server but I asked the guys to make these changes to php.ini (sessions.cache_limiter is currently set to nocache).

Meanwhile I did notice that using GET instead of POST while submitting a form also solves the problem.
