So New To PHP - And very frustrated

I have my sessions working correctly least i think i do on a windows box. I set a path and i can see the session info. When I try to call the session or bring up info from the session back to any php pages it always ends up blank

KT_valUserID|s:1:"1";var|i:1;KT_Username|s:7:"pokemon";KT_userAuth|s:0:"";KT_login_failed|b:0;KT_TACO|s:8:"OOHHBABY";

I wanted to post a solution so people can learn to.

session_start();

//get session variables

$user = $_SESSION['user'];
echo $HTTP_SESSION_VARS['KT_TACO'];
echo $HTTP_SESSION_VARS['KT_valUserID'];

i needed that at the start of the page, to get the session juices flowing. I just wanted to echo out the variables for testing.
