[Resolved] Using a variable in a link

What I am wanting to do is get the month from the server and then use the whatever value I get in a link. This is what I have so far.

<?php $today=getdate();
$month=$today['month'];
require ("/fsr/wwwdept/club/include/[$month].html")?>

you could use :

require ("/fsr/wwwdept/club/include/$month.html") 

just without the square brackets. This works on my pages.

Your input really helped me.

And for superwormy, I did read the manual. I spent four hours doing so but I didn't find a spot where it talked about using it in a link. It mainly talked about using it with echo. I tried the way that spudgun said before and it did not work. But I made some other adjustments and now it works.

Using date() in a link is no different from using it with echo()...

But OK whatever...

require ("/path/to/file/" . date ("m") . ".html");
echo ("/path/to/file/" . date ("m") . ".html");
